1 -1 Life Coaching
FAQs

Here are answers to the questions clients often ask before starting

1-to-1 life coaching.

What is the difference between life coaching and therapy?

Life coaching is forward-focused and practical. It helps you gain clarity, explore what matters most to you, and take meaningful steps toward positive change.
It does not involve diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for therapy or counselling.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before starting?

Not at all. Many people start feeling unsure or overwhelmed. Coaching provides a gentle space to explore what’s going on and gradually gain clarity, confidence, and direction

Can life coaching help with anxiety and overwhelm?

Yes. While coaching is not therapy, it can help you slow things down, gain perspective, and feel more confident when anxiety or overwhelm is affecting your life, communication, or relationships.

Can I work with you if I’m already seeing a therapist or counsellor?

Life coaching is different from therapy or counselling. Coaching is forward-focused, practical, and goal-oriented.
If you are currently working with a therapist or counsellor for significant mental health concerns, coaching may not be suitable. Coaching works best when you are ready to take positive steps forward in a structured, supportive environment.

How long are sessions?

Each session lasts 90 minutes, giving enough time to explore things fully without feeling rushed.

How does the coaching process work?

We begin with a 90-minute introductory session to explore your goals and see if coaching feels right.
If we decide to continue, clients are invited to commit to a 6-session programme, paid in advance. This provides continuity, the space for deeper reflection, and the opportunity to build lasting change..

How often do sessions take place?

Session frequency is flexible. Many clients start weekly to build momentum, then move to fortnightly or a pace that feels right for them.

Where are sessions held?

I’m based in West Kirby on the Wirral and offer face-to-face coaching locally. I also provide online coaching for clients across the UK and beyond.

Is there any commitment?

There is no obligation beyond the introductory session. The 6-session programme is recommended when we both feel it would be supportive and beneficial.

How much does 1-to-1 life coaching cost?

  • Introductory session (90 minutes): £50

  • Remaining 5 sessions of the 6-session programme: £250

This allows you to experience coaching first-hand with no obligation, while providing a structured programme for meaningful, lasting change.

How do I get started?

The first step is to book a free discovery call. This is a gentle, no-pressure opportunity to talk through your goals, ask questions, and see whether 1-to-1 life coaching feels right for you.
