About Me
As a mum of two grown up children and now a grandmother to our first grandchild, I have experienced many challenges of juggling a busy career with family life whilst working on my own wellbeing and balance. My day to day life includes finding time for exercise and being out in nature with our dog. I especially enjoy yoga, Nordic Walking and paddle boarding. I love spending time with my family and friends and enjoy trips to the theatre and live music.

I have enjoyed a career that has always had at it's heart the value of making a difference to those that I work with. In my early career I worked in the NHS in Human Resources. I also worked as a wellbeing coach on a government initiative to reduce heart attacks through running classes in nutrition, exercise and relaxation.

For the last 20 years I have enjoyed teaching and training people of all ages. I worked as a teacher, SENDCo and wellbeing lead in a primary school on the Wirral. As part of this role I provided support to staff, parents and children.

Several years ago I qualified as a wellbeing life coach and have been working as a wellbeing life coach and trainer since qualifying. I also trained in Solution Focused Therapy in London and in the use of "Clean Language".

I have experience of designing and delivering training for a variety of organisations in the private, public and third sector. Some of the organisations where I have delivered training include Wirral University Teaching Hospital, Monksdown and Dawpool Primary Schools, Seacombe Children's Centre, PBWC architects and Pinpoint Charity.

I pride myself on delivering coaching and training where the participants are active in their learning and are supported to make changes that will have great benefit to their physical and mental health and wellbeing beyond the coaching or training room.
More recently I have undertaken Mindfulness training which I now use as an integral part of my coaching and in my training courses. I have also completed a Foundation Course with the British Wheel of Yoga and I am enjoying the greater depth of knowledge it brings for both my own wellbeing and that of my coaching clients. Further training I have completed is as a Mental Health First Aider and as a Suicide First Aider.

Over the years, like most of us, I have faced many personal challenges. I have dealt with bereavements and ill health of people close to me. I have also experienced the demands of balancing a busy career with family life.

The turning point came for me when I started working with a wellbeing coach who really helped me to take care of my own wellbeing and to find a way forward. These wellbeing tools are now an integral part of my life and have helped me stay healthy through many life challenges. I’m passionate about sharing these essential life skills to make a difference where I can for those looking to make the best out of their lives.
